The September meeting featured Gene Wilson's Rest Station Railroad consisting of three tracks totaling approximately 1,000 feet. One track crosses over a waterfall on a bridge, passes through a tunnel, crosses the waterfall again, and passes over a trestle and thru a bridge. The second track goes over two bridges and two trestles, then crosses under a bridge and through a tunnel. The third track goes through a rock cavern, then through a double tunnel. It features a passing siding and a spur track to a warehouse. All switches are pneumatic operation and all the tracks lead from the basement. The buildings are a mixture of scratch, kit, and purchased.
After the meeting at Gene Wilson's, there was an open house at Glenn and Jeanne Brewer's layout nearby. The last seven photos below are from Glenn's and Jeanne's Lavinia Springs Junction.
Thanks to Gene for hosting the meeting, to Glenn and Jeanne for opening their layout to the club, and to Ted Yarbrough for the photos.
