GGRS Meeting

April 19, 2008, Club Meeting

Vines Botanical Gardens, Loganville, Georgia

We want to thank the Vines Garden Railway Club (Lawrence McFall, Bob Gieselbach, Norman Allum, Bill Robertson, Barry Reade, and any others we have left out) for hosting the meeting. One of the valued members of the VGRC and of the GGRS was Hub Evens whom we lost this year. A memorial bench was placed in the park and the dedication ceremony was conducted during the club meeting. Thanks to Barry Reade for the photos.

The bench was purchased by the Evans Family, Friends of Hub, and the Vines Garden Railroad Club. It was installed by the Gwinett County Parks and Recreation Department.

This is a 25 ft steel bridge that supports three tracks.

To the right and behind the steel bridge is a large yellow structure where the rolling stock less the engines is stored. It is a lockable container and provides good security.

The track closest to the fence is the outer track and is labeled Track 1, The middle is Track 2, and the inner is Track 3.
